Description

Cancellation Policy

  • Any cancellations made between 7 business days (10:00 local time) to 3 business days (10:00 local time) prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 50% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made after 10:00 local time, 3 business days prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 100% of the total amount.

Check In/Pickup Location Details

  • From St Mark’s Square:
    Facing St Mark’s Basilica, turn right and walk to the waterfront and after passing the two giant columns, turn right again. Walk along the waterfront full of street souvenirs vendors and after 200 meters on your right find the Royal Gardens.
    By Waterbus:
    Get off at St Marco Vallaresso stop, turn right, cross over a small bridge and after a few meters you’ll find the Royal Gardens on your left. If you get off at St Zaccaria waterbus stop, turn left and walk along the waterfront until you will find the gardens on your right.
    Your guide will be waiting holding a sign with the name of the tour written on it.

Restrictions

  • The sightseeing tour requires a minimum of 8 participants to operate. There is also a limit of 25 participants per tour.
  • The grand canal boat tour requires a minimum of 4 participants to operate. There is also a limit of 9 participants per gondola. Large groups may be seated in different gondolas.
  • This activity is not fully wheelchair accessible. However, please indicate upon booking whether you need wheelchair assistance so the tour will take alternative routes.

  • Please see the summer schedule for the Grand Canal Boat Tour below: - Mondays to Saturdays at 16:00 and 17:00 - Sundays at 16:30 and 17:30
  • There is a break between the walking tour and your boat tour. The break depends on the season and the time of the boat tour will be given by your tour assistant in the morning.
  • The activity provider does not assume any responsibility for your valuables and/or personal belongings.
  • During high water, the tour will still take place, but might have to partly adapt the tour to the weather conditions. On these occasions, skip the line tickets will not be accepted as all visitors have only 1 door open to get in the church.
  • The boat tour can be scheduled on a different date. Please indicate your preferred date and time upon booking.
  • This tour is eligible for the VELTRA free cancellation policy. You can book this tour and still keep your travel plans open. If you change your mind, VELTRA guarantees no penalty fees for cancellations made up to 24 hours before your tour date. Please refer to the pdf below for the terms and conditions.
